Methodology

RemitRoutes calculates total all-in cost as: transfer fee + FX markup, expressed as a percentage of the send amount. Traditional provider quotes come from the Wise Comparisons API. Crypto rail rates come from CCXT (local off-ramp exchanges) plus CoinGecko/CoinMarketCap for crypto prices. A six-hourly cron job on Railway refreshes all data.
